Outcomes:

• Map work and interpretation of geographical information The student will be able to demonstrate the ability to read, transform and interpret maps as well as analyse and interpret other geographical information in various forms.
• Understanding the earth The student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere.
• Environmental and natural resources management The student will be able to appreciate the importance of the environment, consequently be able to protect it and practise sustainable natural resource management.
• Spatial organisation The student will be able to demonstrate increasing knowledge and understanding of places in the local, regional, national, international and global contexts, in relation to distribution of economic and social activities.
• Interdependence between Malawi and the world The student will be able to understand the interdependence between and among countries in environmental, economic, social and technological aspects for sustainable development.
